Rebirth Series

"And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in rain.
You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees."
Kahlil Gibran

Guardate nell' immenso spazio:

Lo vedrete

camminare nella nuvola,

tendere le braccia nel bagliore del lampo

e scendere nella pioggia.

Lo vedrete sorridere nei fiori,

poi elevarsi e agitare le mani

nelle chiome degli alberi.

Gibran Kahlil Gibran

I was inspired from this beautiful poem for this series of paintings dedicated to the rebirth of every creature after death.
I believe that we are all energy and we belong to the universe and we vibrate with it.
When we die we become rain, tree , flower, butterfly...

living wood

here is a new piece I did for a old friend of mine, Milly.
it is a 90 cm X 70 cm canvas worked with mixed media technics.
collage, paper mache, acrylic, wax, aquarel, pencils.

I have used different materials to create a texture and to give that 3D feeling that I like soo much. Especially the clouds, I worked with the paper mache technic and they achieved a really nice soft volume...
